FAQ
Straight answers, no waffle. If yours isn't here, email us, a human reads it. Mr W
Will this look weird in my shower next to the missus' stuff?
Mate, it'll look like the most sensible thing in there. Charcoal bottle, says what it does, no orchids on the label. Hers takes eleven products to do what this does in one. You'll be fine.
I've got a beard. What then?
Wash it. The wash doesn't discriminate: face, beard, the lot. Gets the sunscreen and salt out of the undergrowth without leaving it crispy. Your beard oil routine, if you've got one, stays your business.
Is one product seriously enough?
For washing your face? Yes. That's the whole point. The aisles want you to believe you need a seven-product system. You need one good wash that doesn't strip you, and sunscreen when you're out there. The moisturiser's coming for blokes who want step two, and that's where the range stops being necessary.
I've never used face wash in my life. Am I going to smell like a perfume counter?
No. There's a scent, clean, a bit of tea tree and mānuka about it, and it rinses off with the wash. You'll smell like you had a shower, not like you're wearing something.
Why not just use soap?
You can, plenty do. But most soap is built for armpits, not faces, it strips everything, including the oils your skin actually needs, which is why your face feels tight and ends up flaky after a big weekend out. This cleans the day off without doing that. That's the entire difference, and it's a real one.
What if I don't like it?
Then it's free, basically. 30-day money back, and we pay the return postage. Use half the bottle deciding, doesn't bother us. Email us within 30 days and it's sorted, no forms, no interrogation.
What's actually in it?
The full ingredients list is on the product page, every last unpronounceable surfactant. The headliners: Totarol (extracted from recycled tōtara timber), mānuka oil and tea tree oil, with hydrolysed jojoba esters and glycerine keeping things civil. It contains fragrance and essential oils, and if you've got properly sensitive skin, read the list and try a small patch first.
Is it really made in New Zealand?
Yes. Formulated and made here, by a small crew in Auckland. Not "designed in NZ, made somewhere cheaper." Made here or not at all.
How long does a bottle last?
150ml, one pump a day, about two months. Two pumps a day if you're out there a lot, call it five or six weeks. The 2-pack exists because of exactly this maths.
How fast is shipping?
Out the door in 1–2 business days from Auckland. NZ delivery usually 1–3 business days after that. Australia, 3–7. $6 flat in NZ, free over $50, which both the 2-pack and 3-pack clear. Australia $12.
